The Lapu-Lapu City Government conducted a “Libreng Serbisyo Para sa Tanan” activity in Barangay Calawisan, providing residents access to various government services.

Amid weather disturbances caused by Typhoon Basyang last February 6, the activity offered free medical and dental consultations, distribution of medicines, nutrition counseling, legal consultation, notarization services, and assistance for civil registration concerns, all held at the Barangay Calawisan Gymnasium.

Residents were also able to register or update their records as solo parents, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

On-site assistance was likewise provided for Social Security System (SSS) registration and other government-related transactions.

Other services made available during the event included sign-ups for livelihood and sewing training programs, distribution of seedlings, and insurance-related assistance.

Basic personal care services such as haircuts, manicures, pedicures, massages, and facial services were also offered.

In addition, the City Veterinary Office conducted free rabies vaccinations, deworming, and vitamin supplementation for pets brought by residents.

City officials, led by Mayor Cindi King-Chan, said the activity is part of the city government’s ongoing efforts to bring public services closer to communities.

The Libreng Serbisyo program has been held in several barangays as part of the city’s service delivery initiatives for 2026. (VCL)
