Yoko’s latest creation, a breathtaking Terno, captures the soul of Filipino heritage. “This Terno breathes the spirit of Filipino heritage — a stunning harmony between ancestral craftsmanship and natural beauty,” she says.
Inspired by the intricate weaves of the Maranao malong, the piece celebrates tradition through contemporary form. Draped in deep maroon and golden tones, it evokes strength, warmth, and legacy.
But the magic is in the details. The ornate jewelry adorning the ensemble tells a story of connection: the shells, symbolizing the oceans that cradle our islands; the golden florals, representing tropical resilience; and the red beads, embodying vitality and courage. Together, they form a poetic tribute to nature — the sun, sea, and soil woven with the spirit of the Filipina.
